The Magicast – Episode Nine
Having exclusively interviewed magical gents on the show so far, we decide to get in touch with the feminine side of magic as we talk to Fay Presto, close-up magician extraordinaire and one of only a handful of professional female magicians working in the UK.
We ask why there are so few women in magic, what the difference is in reactions that Fay experiences and of course we talk about how she came to be a professional wonder worker.
Fay was a right good laugh to have in the studio and news lady Julia was certainly pleased to finally have some fellow female back-up in the studio.

Hey Presto – It’s Fay!
I’m pleased to announce that my guest for episode nine of Smoke & Mirrors will be the excellent Fay Presto!
The show will be dedicated to female magicians and asking some of the more challenging questions, like why there aren’t more women in magic, what puts them off and even whether magic is inherently chauvinistic.
We’ll also take a look at Fay’s career and how she has risen to be one of the most prominent names in British close-up magic.
Tune in at 6pm GMT for the penultimate episode of Smoke & Mirrors on 104.4FM in London and online across the world at ResonanceFM.com.
